The Imaginary Archipelago is created rather differently than, well, everything else here. These are made by cutting thin copper foil and then carefully, oh so very very carefully, melting the edges. This makes the edges thick enough for both comfort and strength, while still allowing the earrings to be as light as though they were made from paper. No two are the same; I make pairs as I feel they converse well with each other.
Earwire is hypoallergenic titanium. The colour comes from carefully controlling access to oxygen at very high heat, and is archival; additionally, I spray my earrings with a clearcoat, as an additional protection. Generally I'd recommend removing these before swimming in a chlorine pool or salt water, but if you forget, just rinse them in clean water afterword.
It took us a long time to start making earrings; they get in the way of a bicycle helmet, so we never wear them, and forget they exist. But we also know that many folks love earrings, so here they are, just for you! See, we do listen, after all. Scale is in inches
