The body of this teeny spider is a little hand carved shell cameo, made nearly a century ago, never used, and recently rescued from an elderly jeweler's cabinet. I have a handful of these, and I love them so. They are probably not haunted. I hand cut the spider to fit the cameo, which I prong set directly onto the body.
This is an art object; the teacup, saucer, and spider are all permanently bonded. While I fully support displaying this piece inside your cabinet with the rest of your teacups, you cannot drink from it. It is not a toy. It is, unlike some of my other sculpture work, easy to dust and not subject to moths, so can be put out on a shelf or wherever you want it, and does not require a glass case.
