Baba Yaga's City Home

This piece catches Baba Yaga's city home (made of taxidermied pigeon and hand cut, handformed steel) come is for a landing in  the midst of a block modeled after real NYC tenements. I like to think that those wings would protect the whole block if she happened to be around in a rain storm, or as shade on the hottest summer days, but I don't know how generous you like to imagine Baba Yaga's house as being.

This series is based on a simple musing; what if Baba Yaga's house wasn't on chicken legs, but those of another bird? These one rests on the feet of a pigeon.

(as with all of my taxidermy pieces; these are sourced as ethically as I can manage. In this case, the feet and wings are un-used byproducts of the meat industry; things of beauty which would otherwise by thrown away.)

A note on shipping: This one will be tough. I have included in the website price a charge to build this piece its very own crate. If you are near western mass and would like to arrange a pickup, I will be happy to meet up and will make appropriate adjustments in the price.
